Current Projects

At Richers Hope Charities, our current projects reflect our mission to bring faith, hope, and renewal to the people of El Salvador. From rebuilding and restoring Catholic churches and chapels to supporting parish outreach and community programs, each project is a testament to God’s love in action. We invite you to explore the ways your prayers and generosity are helping transform lives and strengthen faith across the country.

Dental Work in San Jacinto

2023-Present

Our mission to bring dentistry to the poor of El Salvador began in the spring of 2023 and was created with a team of dental missionaries performing over 100 visits with local El Salvadorans too poor to afford a visit to a dentist. We initially set up a field dental clinic in a church meeting room and the work comprised mostly of cleanings, extractions and dental hygiene education.

On the next mission trip, we made use of a room with a dental chair and some equipment at a nearby building to take care of some of the local nuns who had significant problems and no funds to take care of them.

In the summer of 2025, while working with the owners of a nearby building, a plan was initiated to build a modern multi-room equipped dental clinic. The permanent site was identified with approval to operate from the Ladies of Charity. The location is a St. Vincent de Paul facility one mile from the San Jacinto Catholic Church.

The current clinic does not have an x-ray machine, very worn tools, a lack of basic supplies, outdated equipment needing repaired and replaced, and only one dental chair. The current clinic serves a large population with minimal capabilities and only open 4 hours per day.

RHC’s plans include adding a second exam chair, updating equipment and supplies, and a combination of additional local and missionary dentists and dental assistants.

Nun’s Kitchen

2025-Present

Updating the nun’s kitchen.

Buenos Aires Chapel

2025-2026

The first phase of construction took place in February 2025, where missionaries did extensive clearing of the site location and then brought in electrical, water, and drainage.

The next phase included leveling the site and installing barriers and a shed to protect construction work.

The final site prep work of 2025 was done with the help of Fr. Jaffe.

In 2026, the major construction will begin, and plans are to have work completed by the end of 2027.

Initial construction funds have been committed to, but additional fundraising will be required.
